In March 2020, a waiver was issued by the Railroad Commission of Texas per the Texas Propane Gas Association (TPGA)'s request. This waiver allowed both bobtail (local) and transport (regional) drivers to perform delivery operations without a Railroad Commission of Texas certification.

This COVID-19 waiver will finally terminate on September 1, 2021.

Beginning September 1, 2021, all drivers must take and pass the required certification exam prior to resuming or beginning activities requiring certification.

If you have questions regarding this notice, please contact the RRC at training-exams@rrc.texas.gov or the association.
