RRC-Issued Certification Cards: What You Need to Know

Under Railroad Commission of Texas LP-Gas Safety Rule §9.10, any business licensed to engage in LPG activities in Texas is required to give RRC-issued certification cards to their certified employees upon receiving them in the mail and the licensee is also advised to maintain a copy of their employees’ certification cards.

Additionally, the certified employee is also required to make their certification readily available and present it to any RRC inspector or employee who requests proof of certification. This portion of the rule is a little antiquated and the association plans to engage the Commission as these records are readily accessible on their website that Commission staff or anyone for that matter can look up at any time.

Although the above-mentioned portion of the rule is outdated, the Commission is enforcing it for now.

TPGA will update the industry should any changes be made to this rule.
