Last week, the Governor declared a State of Disaster for all Texas counties in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. During the State of Disaster, licensed propane companies may request a waiver for certain licensing & certification regulatory requirements from the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC). The wavier requests may be for companies operating with an expired license, which was due for renewal in February or March, or individuals who have passed an alternative fuels safety exam but have not yet received their certification card. The waiver requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Please email waiver requests to April Richardson, Alternative Fuels Department Director, via email at April.Richardson@rrc.texas.gov.
