Propane Prices On Your Minds?
Then Check Out PERC’s Home Heating Kit
This week the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the statistical agency of the U.S. Department of Energy, issued its energy and winter fuel outlook. EIA predicts the average winter season (October 1-March 31) prices and expenditures for all space-heating fuels this year will be higher than winter 2006-2007. Propane-consuming households, which account for 5 percent of the U.S. total, are projected to see an average increase of 16 percent in propane expenditures this winter,
but that increase varies widely by region.
With this in mind, PERC developed a series of resources to aid the industry’s response to questions or concerns from customers or the media regarding home heating prices. PERC's "Home Heating Kit," available on the Propane Marketing Resource Center (MaRC), offers sales sheets; television, radio, and print ads; home heating articles; and a bill stuffer that can be included with materials to customers. There is also a Question & Answer sheet that addresses commonly asked questions on rising home heating prices.
