FMCSA Arctic Hours of Service WaiverFederal Multi-State Compliance Relief (Includes Texas)

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issued a Regional Emergency Declaration in response to the arctic blast and severe ice storm impacting much of the United States.


The Emergency Declaration covers several states, including Texas, and waives hours of service requirements to transport heating fuels, including propane and other fuel products, such as gasoline, to areas impacted by the severe weather. A full list of covered states and more details are outlined in the linked waiver.


The declaration expires March 4, 2021.
