Alternative Fuel Tax Credits

In December 2019, Congress and the White House have passed the extension of several lapsed tax credits through a Government Spending Bill. It extends key alternative fuel tax incentives that have been expired since the end of 2017.
• the alternative fuel excise credit retroactively for 2018 & 2019 and
through December 31, 2020; and
• the alternative fuel infrastructure credit retroactively for 2018 & 2019
and through December 31, 2020
Texas Clean School Bus

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) announced on January 7, 2020 that it is currently accepting applications for the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP) Texas Clean School Bus (TCSB) Program. Approximately $6.2 million in grants is available state-wide for school districts, charter schools, and transportation systems provided by countywide school districts, to replace diesel school buses operating on a regular daily route to and from school with new clean-burning buses like propane school buses.
Alternative Fuel Facilities Program

The Alternative Fuel Facilities Program is a program under the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's TERP Program that provides funds for alternative fuel stations. The program has up to $6 million available this grant round.
The program will fund up to $600,000 for a new or upgrade to a propane station.
Light Duty Vehicle Incentive Program

The Light Duty Vehicle Incentive Program provides $5,000 per eligible new propane vehicle or vehicle converted within first 500 miles under 10,000 lbs.

Entities (propane companies, fleets & school districts) replacing a MY 2007 or older diesel vehicle with a new dedicated propane vehicle in the Clean Transportation Zone may be able for a grant through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The older & higher GVWR of the vehicle you are replacing, the bigger the payout.
The grant is first come, first serve until the $15 million runs out.
