TAX CREDITS And if you are a registered alternative fueler, you could qualify for a $.50/gallon tax credit from the Federal government. The 0.50 cent a gallon tax credit expired on December 31, 2011. Businesses that install an alternative fuel refueling property can receive 30 % for the cost of installing in the form of a tax credit up to $30,000 per location.
